Blessed by God

To go up into the Calanca Valley

is to go towards a subtle dimension

to go through the door of the celestial opening again

to get in touch with  a value engraved in my DNA

the bravery in every humble expression.

I enter my church, the walls dissolve

I’m in the middle of the valley, in the stream, on the stones.

Back into my childhood

when my name was “Blessed by God”

The Calanca valley is far away from urban or industrial centers. The valley is set between a range of mountains in the middle of the Swiss Alps surrounded by natural awe inspiring scenery.

Rossa (1194 meters above sea level)

Rossa is a village located at the very end of the valley consisting of a handful of houses and some chapels, like a nest in a wood among steep walls of stone.

Thanks to attentive political management, Rossa is transforming into a jewel of contemporary art.

This year Rossa will host our sculpture made of 32 granite blocks. The project has been assigned to Davide Macullo who has involved the children of the valley.
